In addition to ancestor spirits, Kuy believe in other mother nature spirits which include that with the keep an eye on lizard (takuat) which they feel to be image of fertility. The Kuy conduct ceremonies to propitiate the takuat spirit and request fertility from nature. They might also take the tail from the lizard to use in divination ceremonies.
